“Are you kidding me?! I’m telling you, that’s way overambitious. I’ve been here for 6 months and I’m not even there yet.”
I sat across from my friend, nodding along. It was my first day in Medellín, Colombia.
In a few days, I would start a challenge to learn Spanish… in a month.
What Ben didn’t know then, and indeed, what I even underestimated, was how effective the principles I had decided to follow were.
By the end of the month, I was conversational, joking around with my tutor’s brothers in the local slang and having conversations about “non-beginner” topics like psychology and business. I even started dating a local girl who didn’t speak a lick of English, without any issues.
My documentary, “Spanish in a Month”, which chronicles that experience, has since taken off, inspiring over 1.3 million people in 196 different countries.
But people were left with more questions than answers.
- how should I memorize vocabulary?
- is a teacher necessary?
- how important is speaking, really?
- what do you think about this app/program/product?
- how do I improve my confidence?
- I can read and write but people talk so fast that I can’t actually understand them in real life, how do I fix that?
Answering these questions left me writing email responses that pushed a thousand words, yet still only covered a piece of the puzzle.
So I wrote this email course so I would have something more substantial I could send people to. A course that wouldn’t just answer their one question about confidence or vocab, but help them see the entire strategy.
What’s inside
Here’s what you’ll learn, from day 1 to 7…

- The number one mistake holding back millions of language learners, plus why a “month” isn’t impressive (and what you should look at instead)
- Why learning from software is bullshit and what you have to do instead if you want rapid progress
- The stages of learning you’ll go through and what to focus on at each stage. Doing these in the wrong order could add months to your learning time.
- How to effortlessly memorize vocab so that it flows off your tongue naturally
- How to attain a near-native accent, and the importance of doing this as early as possible
- How to understand people when they talk fast, even if you can barely understand people at a “normal” pace now
Whether you’re learning for travel, for a job, for a loved one or romantic partner, or just for the love of languages, this course will accelerate your results to breakneck speeds.
